So, i’ve just come back from a week in LA, and I didn’t even realise how much I did until I looked back on my holiday! There is SO MUCH to do out there. It is really hard to know where to start. So if your planning on visiting LA in the next few months, here are some of the things you can do out there!
Hollywood walk of fame:
You don’t need to worry about saving any money for this, or booking it in advance, you simply just walk down the street and you are walking on the walk of fame before you know it! Make sure you go on a weekend when the sun is shining! Holly boulevard is buzzing in the sun with tonnes of street performers and celeb lookalikes walking around. The vibe is crazy haha!
American diners
You gotta go to a classic American diner when you are out there. We found a diner called ‘Mel’s drive in’ which was just past the Hollywood walk of fame! The diners are full of full-fat breakfasts, milkshakes, burgers etc. You gotta treat yourself when you’re away, right?!
Dodgers game at the Dodgers stadium
We had absolutely no idea how massive this stadium would be, and how much of a big deal the Dodgers were in LA…it was actually CRAZYY! This is a great way to spend an evening, especially if the weather is nice. The stadium is completely open so it’s a fab way to catch a tan without having to just lie by the pool, lol.
Day clubs
If there’s a grey day in LA and if you want something to do on a Sunday, go get yourself down to an indoor day party! It’s the perfect thing to do if the weather isn’t looking it’s best! We had the time of our lives at Penthouse day club, in West Hollywood. This is completely in doors, so it’s a good shout if it’s a rainy day in LA.
Rooftop bars
I live for a rooftop bar in the sunshine! If you’re looking for a chilled, casual vibe and for something to do when it’s a hot day, head over to ‘Mama shelter’ in Hollywood. The rooftop is 6 stories high, and you can see the whole of Hollywood! It’s got a section where you can have meals, and another section with comfy day beds, so you can just sit, have a drink and chilll out.
Santa Monica Pier & Venice beach
Head to Santa Monica Pier. It’s a typical tourist spot, with loads of tourist shops where you can grab a key ring to take come, and you will spot loads of street performers on the pier. It’s a great place to go if you have a few hours spare one day your out there!
I could list so many other things to do in LA, like universal studios, or hike up to the Hollywood sign, not to mention the nightlife! There are tonnes of clubs out there! Just keep an eye out for the nights that have artists performing, that’s the best time to head there!
P.S Just a really quick tip that I would give you if you are heading to LA this summer, is to pack for all weather! LA weather can be a little temperamental. So make sure you have enough jean shorts and bikini’s but also pack a couple of hoodies… just in case!
