I cannot tell you how much this word is thrown around and NOT put into practice.😩
It’s become some sort of joke like let’s go for ice cream (every day) #moderation, then tomorrow get a pizza #moderation, then the day after go for drinks #moderation. That isn’t moderation!🤦🏽♀️
I’m saying this because results are important and the mindset that comes with a successful vs an unsuccessful person in any situation is dramatically different.🙇🏽♀️
Here are some reasons why always using ‘moderation’ is a BAD idea…
- if you give yourself the benefit of the doubt over every single wrong decision that you make, you will forget what it’s like to be able to say no to the naughties and live the healthy lifestyle you’ve been trying to achieve for years..don’t ruin all the hard work you have put in!
- You’ll forget what it FEELS like to BE ABLE to say no.
- You’ll get frustrated at the fact that you just CANT say no.
- You find yourself in this trap of chasing that excitable feeling & huge emotional spike which makes you say “F*CK IT” every time an opportunity to go off track is thrown at you (e.g meal out, takeaway, drinks, desert, free food). Yes you know what i mean👀
This is not moderation. This is the lack of self control which can make us all feel like we can’t achieve success ever again. But it’s just habit change, and repetitively giving yourself the excuse of #moderation for every ‘not so good’ decision you may make, (whether that be diet, alcohol, going to the gym, not doing what needs to be done etc)… this is moderation used incorrectly & so I’m speaking from a whoooole other perspective.👁
But 80% smart choices vs 20% naughty choices leaves me feeling balanced, at ease, satisfied and successful each and every day. = happy beckie = enjoying the journey = more sustainable = easier to achieve my goals💪🏽👌🏽
Sound familiar? Know where I’m coming from? Comment if you agree…or if you like that fact I don’t just live off salad and leaves (because I’m telling you now, I absolutely do not).🍦😍
